Asian Foundation for Philanthropy seeks Project Manager

Added: 17 June 2008

The Asian Foundation for Philanthropy (AfP) was established to link British Asians with exciting, innovative social change initiatives in India, through their three programmes:

  • Paropkaar  - International volunteering
  • Jagruti – Development Awareness Raising
  • Daan – Donation

AfP is currently undertaking a new DFID-funded project – the Sudarshan Project – to increase understanding about the relationship between global interdependence and poverty amongst Asian businesses in the East Midlands and London. It will engage Asian owners of small and medium-sized enterprises with trade links with India.

The project will use socio-cultural events, learning activities and guidelines to encourage and support them to develop their own socially responsible business practices.

AfP is looking for an innovative and passionate Project Manager who enjoys working in a small team.  You will have knowledge of international development issues as well as current trends in development awareness. You will also be fluent in one language spoken in the South Asian region.

Please contact Bala Thakrar for more information including application form and job specification on 0207-091- 9485 or by email

  • Closing Date: Thursday 26th June 2008
  • Interview Date: Thursday 10th July 2008
