Added: 13 March 2008Lewis Temple has been appointed as the new Director of GuideStar UK.
Temple joins GuideStar UK after 10 years working for international charities in developing countries. He will be working in close collaboration with the newly appointed chairman of GuideStar UK Advisory Council Stuart Etherington, Chief Executive of NCVO, to lead GuideStar UK’s efforts to meet needs of UK citizens and institutions for information about the voluntary sector, promote better charity reporting, and encourage philanthropy and best non-profit operating practices.
The engagement of Temple as Director of the charity coincides with the merger of GuideStar UK and Civil Society Systems into GuideStar International, and the appointment of former GuideStar UK chief executive David Brocklebank as CEO of GuideStar Data Services (GDS), a community interest company wholly owned by GuideStar International.
