New chairman and trustees at GuideStar International
Added: 08 May 2008Luc Tayart de Borms, managing director of the King Baudouin Foundation, has been elected GuideStar International’s (GSI) new chairman.
In addition, three new trustees have also joined the GSI Board. These include NCVO Chairman Stuart Etherington, vice president of Capital International Anne Wade, and Transparency International regional director Miklos Marshall.
GSI’s founding chairman, William M. Dietel, has retired after serving on the GSI Board of Trustees for three years. His successor Luc Tayart de Borms is a former president of the European Foundation Center (EFC) and is currently a trustee at the European Venture Philanthropy Association. He is a former member of the board and nternational committee of the Washington-based Council on Foundations (COF).
GuideStar International (GSI) works with leaders of civil society throughout the world to build a network of national online “GuideStar” services that report the aims, activities, accomplishments and finances of each country’s Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) variously known as NGOs, Community Based Organisations (CBOs), charities, and non-profits.
