Share issue launched to raise millions for clean energy projects
Added: 07 May 2008Triodos Renewables has launched a major share issue, which aims to raise £8.5m to invest directly in clean energy projects.
Investors have the opportunity to co-own the company, and join more than 3,300 existing shareholders as part of the flourishing renewables industry.
The company plans to invest the money raised by the new share issue to more than double the amount of green electricity its projects produce in the next two-to-three years.
Since its last share issue in 2005, Triodos Renewables has grown considerably, acquiring and investing in projects ranging from single wind turbines in industrial England, to tidal turbines off the coast of Northern Ireland. Triodos Renewables now plans to issue up to 5.5m new shares at £1.65 per share.
