The Big Give launches corporate charity vouchers
, Added: 28 August 2008The Big Give has launched a charity voucher scheme as an alternative to corporate gifts for companies in the UK.
Alec Reed CBE, founder of The Big Give, has invested £250,000 in marketing the scheme: £25 vouchers have been sent to 10,000 UK businesses to demonstrate the way the vouchers work. They can be used to donate to one of 4,500 charities registered on The Big Give website when the recipient types in a unique voucher number.
The charity voucher scheme will offer an alternative to gifts of chocolate or alcohol which are not always appropriate. Companies will be able to monitor the giving preferences of their stakeholders, which allows them to tailor their own philanthropy decisions for maximum impact.
“Big Give vouchers create a platform for businesses to increase and democratise corporate giving, give intelligently, strengthen client relations and obtain a positive, ethical image. I look forward to welcoming other intelligent companies wishing to take advantage of our new initiative,” Reed said.
The Big Give vouchers scheme will be launched on 1st September.
