Barclays Wealth philanthropy study affirms Philanthropy UK research

Barclays Wealth’s white paper, ‘The changing face of Philanthropy: today, tomorrow and beyond’, has affirmed Philanthropy UK’s research findings published in Why Rich People Give.

The outcomes from the Barclays’ study, which examined the current climate of giving amongst the UK’s wealthy, what issues they and charities face; and how things are set to change, indicates similar findings on donors’ motivations, differences in self-made vs. inherited wealth, an increasing interest in engaging (not just writing a cheque), and focus on impact and transparency.
