Posted on 27th March 2008

To meet growing demand from donors for information and advice on charities in developing countries, New Philanthropy Capital (NPC) will establish a joint research partnership with Copal Partners in India.

The partnership will carry out research into charities in India in the same way NPC already does in the UK.

Copal provides outsourced research for investment banks and consultancies and has recently built a small team to work on charity analysis. To date it has focused on the top 10 charities in India, but is now keen to expand its analysis to small and medium-sized charities.

NPC will work with Copal to share its experience of assessing charities and conducting sector research, with an NPC analyst being based in India full time.
