The Vodafone Group Foundation and Vodafone UK Foundation, until recently both independent UK registered charities, merged to form the Vodafone Foundation on 1st September.

The new Vodafone Foundation will support the worldwide network of 22 in-country Vodafone foundations, while developing global partnerships and boosting UK social investment programmes.

Last year, the Vodafone foundations donated £36.6m to charitable projects in communities in which the company operates.

The company confirms that it will continue all existing global and UK commitments.  In addition, it says, “Over the next year the Foundation will be seeking to bolster its commitment to the UK and to engage even more Vodafone employees in its community investment programmes.”
