The Charity Commission has launched a new version of its online register to make information on charities more accessible to the public.

The new register features enhanced search facilities and a trustee cross-referencing tool, as well as detailed financial profiles for all charities with incomes over £500,000, which break down income and expenditure.

Dame Suzi Leather, chair of the Charity Commission, said, “The public quite rightly expects to be able to see how charities are using their money. The new register will help the public do this by showing information about charities in a far more accessible way.”
