The second volume of Charity Market Monitor 2008, launched this week, found that there was a real annual increase of 10% in trust giving and 2% in corporate giving in 2006/2007.

The report links levels of private giving to the wider economy. It said that the increase in 2006/07 “May have raised expectations which may make a harsher financial environment in 2008 even more difficult to adjust to.”

CMM 2008 is a collaboration between Cass Business School and CaritasData. It is published in two volumes. The first volume, published in June 2008, focuses on major fundraising charities; the second, published in November, focuses on corporate and charitable trust funders.

A subscription to both volumes of Charity Market Monitor 2008 can be purchased for £350 (charities: £175) from CaritasData.
