Two online giving websites have launched Christmas voucher schemes.
GlobalGiving UK enables supporters to send online gift certificates while The Big Give will launch a ‘Double your Donation’ scheme on 1st December.
GlobalGiving UK, the online marketplace that connects donors to charitable projects around the world, facilitates Christmas giving through its online gift certificates. Recipients of the gift certificates can choose from over 500 vetted programmes to support. Supporters also can donate to projects in honour of someone else.
The Reed Foundation will spend £1m to match donations of up to £5,000 per donation made to charities through The Big Give website. All charities registered in the UK and on The Big Give website will be eligible for matched donations from 1st December.
