Posted on 21st January 2009

The National Council for Voluntary Organisations
(NCVO) is preparing to launch a celebrity-backed campaign to encourage
the public to donate £2 a month to charity, reports Professional
Fundraising magazine.

The magazine said the campaign would
promote generic causes rather than specific charities, and is likely to
revolve around the question, “What do you believe in?”

Professional
Fundraising did not say which celebrities would be involved, but said that NCVO were interested in securing a media partner.
