New centre for strategic philanthropy launches in the Netherlands
The Erasmus Centre for Strategic Philanthropy, hosted by Erasmus University, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands opened its doors last week.
It will focus on high-level academic research and executive teaching and liaise and collaborate with other major national and international initiatives aimed at enhancing philanthropic efforts, through an open network approach. The focus of the centre will be on ‘impact and transparency’ and ‘strategic grant-making’.
The centre is a partnership between the Erasmus School of Economics (ESE), the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) and the Adessium Foundation.
The centre will initially affiliate with a broad range of academics from both ESE and RSM, and PhD student projects will be dedicated to support the overall motto of the centre, which is “Doing Good Done Better”.
