A new era of philanthropy is beginning, according to a new guide launched in October by The Ireland Funds, a group of funds that support Irish people living in other countries.
The Ireland Funds’ Philanthropy and Fundraising Toolkit identifies trends and challenges in contemporary philanthropy, as well as offering a perspective on the historical roots of philanthropy. The toolkit, which draws on the experience of the Ireland Funds internationally, also looks at fundraising and campaigns, connecting with donors and organisational and board development.
The toolkit also contains articles on:

- Creating new value through innovation
- Mergers in the non-profit sector
- Having more successful operations with non-profit organisations
