The Funding Network (TFN) reached a £3m milestone with its Summer Event held on 1st July, that brought pledges of over £47,000 for the five health projects taking part.

Since The Funding Network (TFN) was founded in 2002, over 3,000 individuals have attended 75 events in London, Oxford, Bristol, Leeds and Toronto to raise more than £3m for 300 local, national and international projects creating social change.

The latest event was introduced by Clare Algar, executive director of Reprieve, which uses the law to enhance human rights, on the impact of the £17,173 pledged to her charity at a TFN event last year. MaAfrika Tikkun, Baobab, World Child Cancer, Solace Women's Aid and HealthProm all made presentations to the 71 attendees, including individuals, volunteers from charitable organisations and representatives from foundations interested in supporting work for social change. Videos of the presentations are available on TFN’s YouTube channel.  £47,461 was pledged in total, and offers can still be accepted through the website.

Future dates include a Youth TFN event in London on 21st July, an event in Bristol with TFN South West on 16th September, TFN London's 'London' themed event on 25th September, the inaugural event of TFN Manchester on 10th November and TFN London's Christmas event on 6th December.
