In a boost to the philanthropy advisory sector, STEP, The Society of Trust & Estate Practitioner and EAPG, The European Association for Philanthropy and Giving, have agreed to work together to provide a jointly developed educational series for advisors.

The Philanthropy Programme is underpinned by a programme advisory committee chaired by Lord Janvrin, non-executive director of HSBC Private Bank. It comprises five events and is aimed at providers of philanthropy and major charitable giving advice.

Sue Daniels, executive director, EAPG said: “Working with STEP has enabled the creation of a programme that will ensure professional advisors have access to the most current information that will enable them to work more successfully with their clients and to develop and build their philanthropy practices.”

The series launches on the 21 February with an event entitled ‘Philanthropy Advice: is the current business model right for your clients?’ which will be held in central London.

Prices for EAPG members for discussion forums: £50 (for-profit organisations) and £30 (non-profit organisations) and for non-members: £70 (for-profit organisations) and £50 (non-profit organisations)

Prices for EAPG members for symposia: £120 (for-profit organisations) and £90 (non-profit organisations) and for non-members: £150 (for-profit organisations) and £110 (non-profit organisations).
